Site Description
Little Venice is in Northwest London, near the Paddington Basin of the Grand Union Canal. Known for its accumulation of narrowboats and a popular destination for leisurely walks and café visits, Little Venice is frequented daily by the public and is a key location for business.
Project Brief
ISS Flowthrough were approached to design and install a new bubble barrier (aka bubble curtain) system in replacement of the pre-existing system that was no longer performing as intended. The new bubble barrier required, needed to prevent the downstream movement of plastic pollution and litter.

The Results
A dual bubble barrier and water aeration system was designed and installed by the Flowthrough team. Whilst the bubble barrier performed to prevent movement of any debris and plastic litter in the canal from downstream flow, the aeration system functioned to improve water quality conditions within the waterbody.
